todays ride was definitely a high light of this trip! we rode up Mt Lemon just northeast of Tucson. we rode from the desert below 2000 ft to a full alpine environment close to 9000 ft. (it felt good to be back at a high altitude) the climb by itself was 24 miles straight up to the top. the temp dropped quickly from the 70deg in Tucson to mid 40's on top. the road was very smoothly paved, nice wide shoulders and barely any traffic, a climbers dream!!!
